Struggling to keep it all together? There is help for you!

I believe that the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives … especially our most important relationship, the one we have with ourselves.

For women with executive functioning challenges, having a measure of self-trust and self-worth can seem almost impossible.  It can feel like no matter how hard you work, nothing gets better.  But it doesn’t have to be that way.

With compassion, profound acceptance, and humor, I help my clients discover the inner wisdom that resides in us all to find ease, balance, and new ways forward.  My office is a safe space for all humans, regardless of race, gender identification, sexuality, or spiritual affiliation.  Calm, compassionate, connected people who heal themselves will, I believe, heal the world.

“All problems are relational problems.”

— Albert Adler

Why do people come to therapy? They are struggling with something. With a child or spouse.  With alcohol.  With their boss, fellow countrymen, or former partner.  It may be — and almost always is — with themselves.

We can’t change another person.  We can’t change the way we grew up, how people treated us in formative years, the baggage we carry as a result.  Given that our ability to change the world around us is limited, what can we do?  What do we have control over?  Only this: the way we relate to our experience. To others, to addictive substances, to the frustrations and disappointments of life, to the parts of us we’d rather ignore and deny.

MFT’s are trained in the distinctive way relationships work, how they fall into dysfunction, and what they need to flourish and thrive.  We study systems-based theory in addition to individual psychotherapy, and are able use a variety of approaches, including attachment-based and solution-focused therapies, to treat our clients and serve their particular needs.

Some of my areas of focus include:

• Women with ADD/ADHD

• Fair & Loving Parenting

• Depression & Anxiety

• Equitable Partnering/Modern Householding

• Sex & Intimacy

• Personal Empowerment

I also love working with creatives, be they professionals or unpaid enthusiasts.
